Devine is 9-1 against Pleasanton since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Warhorses / Arabians will head out to square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Tuesday, Devine got the win against Carrizo Springs by a conclusive 17-2. The Warhorses / Arabians haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Sam Zamora was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Zamora was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in February of 2025.
In other batting news, Maddy Hester was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kenny Cruz, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Devine always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Pleasanton made easy work of Carrizo Springs on Thursday and carried off a 12-1 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.
Pleasanton got a big performance out of Kaylee Schimdt, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniya Carrillo, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Devine's record now sits at 17-12-1. As for Pleasanton, their record is now 16-11.
Devine suffered a grim 8-2 defeat to Pleasanton in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Warhorses / Arabians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
