One of the most active was Jose Fernandez Iii, who rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 33 receiving yards. Alexander also got help from Julius Vaughn, who showed off his sure hands for 100 receiving yards.
Even though they lost, Alexander was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 441 total yards. That's the most total yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.
Alexander wouldn't let Marshall keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Alexander can thank Luis Quintero and Hector Benavides for forcing both of them. Quintero's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making 11 total tackles. Another thorn in Marshall's side was Frankie J. Fuentes, who picked up a sack and made 20 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Gregory-Portland didn't have quite enough to beat Calallen on Friday and fell 42-40. Gregory-Portland was down 42-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
