The Pescadero Vikings will face off against the Stratford Prep Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Pescadero is coming into the match hot, having won their last 12 games.
On Wednesday, Pescadero made easy work of East Palo Alto Academy and carried off a 3-0 win.
The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-16, 25-12.

Pescadero can attribute much of their success to Perla Hernandez, who had 15 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Hernandez has posted since back in September.
They weren't the only good servers: Pescadero was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in 12 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, Stratford Prep's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They came up short against KIPP Navigate College Prep, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Lions haven't been shut out since back in September.
Stratford Prep couldn't get the win, but they sure gave KIPP Navigate College Prep a tough time in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 25-23, 25-12.
Pescadero will have to keep a close watch on Riana Parikh and Vanessa Wang, a pair of players who had a big impact on Stratford Prep's prior game. Parikh had ten digs and two assists, while Wang had four aces and three digs. Wang is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Stratford Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Pescadero, their victory bumped their record up to 19-3.
Pescadero beat Stratford Prep 2-0 in their previous meeting back in September. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
