Methuen had won two straight games and Kathryn Driend did her part to make it three on Monday. The Rangers put the hurt on the Haverhill Hillies with a sharp 3-0 victory for which the team can thank Driend, who had four digs, three aces, and two blocks. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season.

Methuen never let Haverhill on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 25-23.

Methuen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gracye Neel, who had five kills, five blocks, three digs, and two aces. That's the most blocks Neel has posted over her last seven contests. Another player making a difference was Aalayah Cortorreal Guerrero, who had six digs, two aces, and one block.

They weren't the only good servers: Methuen was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in three consecutive matchups.

Methuen's record is now 8-2. As for Haverhill, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Methuen has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Andover on the 24th. As for Haverhill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Billerica Memorial on the 24th.
