After a string of five wins, McMinn Central's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost 19-5 to the Yulee Hornets.

McMinn Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Plemons, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Another was Hunter Rayburn, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

McMinn Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Yulee, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.

Coming up, McMinn Central will take on Chipley at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Yulee, they will be playing at home against Giles County at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Giles County's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Yulee's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
