A Season-Best Performance from Matthew Bywater Leads Litchfield/Mt. Olive over Gillespie
Matthew Bywater produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Litchfield/Mt. Olive to the win on Saturday. Bywater picked up 124 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 77 yards.
Bywater and Litchfield/Mt. Olive will square off against Staunton/Bunker Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will pit Bywater up against Staunton/Bunker Hill's star WR Nate Oller. On Saturday, Litchfield/Mt. Olive got the W thanks in part to Ethan Saathoff playing the best football he has all season. Saathoff threw for 228 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
