The Ellsworth Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past St. Paul Central, posting a 69-30 victory on the road. Considering Ellsworth has won five matchups by more than 21 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
St. Paul Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cynara Easley, who scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. Kyla Parker was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Ellsworth's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for St. Paul Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ellsworth will take on Prescott at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Paul Central won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Humboldt at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th.
