Carver Vo-Tech slipped by City College 62-61. The win was familiar territory for Carver Vo-Tech who now have three in a row.
It was another big night for Dorrian Sands, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Desmond Handon, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Carver Vo-Tech is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for City College, their defeat ended a 17-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4.
Carver Vo-Tech will take on Poly at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Poly is ranked 82nd, while Carver Vo-Tech is ranked 65th). As for City College, they will take on Benjamin Franklin at TBD on Tuesday.
