University Prep is 9-1 against King since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Pumas will head out on the road to take on the Knights at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (University Prep 3.9, King's 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
King's will be up against a hot University Prep team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Pumas walked away with a 6-3 win over South Whidbey on Wednesday.

Owen Bradley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.
In other batting news, University Prep got a big performance out of Noah Keppler, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs. Another player making a difference was Wade Suess, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask King's). They were the clear victors by a 19-0 margin over Kalama on Saturday. Considering the Knights have won four matches by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Like University Prep, King's also got a great game from a two-way player: Bodey Reiss. Throwing, Reiss pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Luke Helton pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Reiss got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI, while Helton went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits Helton has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, John Bjella was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
King's kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
King's pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for University Prep, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
