The Hillsboro Hiltoppers suffered their biggest loss since December 8, 2023 on Saturday. They were dealt a 63-32 loss at the hands of Litchfield. Hillsboro was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-8.
Defeat or not, Hillsboro got some senior leadership from Jace Stewart and Elliot Lentz. Stewart scored 13 points, while Lentz. scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lentz has scored all season.
Victor Mcgill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Litchfield, scoring 24 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ethan Saathoff, who scored six points along with five assists and five steals.
Hillsboro has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Litchfield, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Civic Memorial the next time they take the court. Hillsboro will head out to face Civic Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Litchfield will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
