Softball Recap: Grafton's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Grafton had lost five games straight , but after bumping their record up to 3-6 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Jamestown Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Clippers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

As for Jamestown, they now have a losing record of 4-5. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Jamestown's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoe Mayes, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Grafton is set to take on their familiar foe Smithfield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Jamestown will face off against rival York at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
