The First Academy faced Windermere in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Royals put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 7-0 victory. The Royals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by six runs or more this season.

In other pitching news, The First Academy got a great performance from Thomas Achey as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over 4.2 innings pitched. Achey has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, Cannon Koronka was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Erick Martinez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
The First Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Windermere struck out ten times.
