The Shea Raiders waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They came out on top against Mount St. Charles Academy by a score of 58-47. This was payback for Shea, who suffered a 49-39 loss the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Mount St. Charles Academy saw an underclassman step up: Addie Johnson scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Dzuin, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Shea pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Mount St. Charles Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shea will take on Chariho at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mount St. Charles Academy, they will be playing at home against Coventry at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
