After a string of five wins, Humboldt's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. The matchup between the Humboldt Hawks and the St. Croix Lutheran Crusaders didn't end well, with the Humboldt Hawks falling 64-50. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Crusaders are ranked 86th).

Humboldt's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for St. Croix Lutheran, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Humboldt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Croix Lutheran, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-54 defeat against Minnehaha Academy on the 14th.
