Dexter has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the South Haven Cardinals on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Dexter was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-36 to Sedan. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Dexter in their matchups with Sedan: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, South Haven came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Caldwell, posting a 56-28 victory on the road. South Haven has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Dexter dropped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.0 points per game. As for South Haven, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2-1 record this season.
Dexter might still be hurting after the 48-26 loss they got from South Haven when the teams last played last Monday. Can Dexter avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
