Plymouth won the last time they faced Pembroke and things went their way  on Monday too. The Bobcats blew past the Spartans 12-6. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bobcats considering their one-run performance the  game before.

 Noah Shaw made a big impact no matter where he played. He  pitched five innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. What's more,  he posted five  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-5 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  double. Plymouth is 3-1 when  Shaw posts two or  more  runs, but 5-7 otherwise.
 In other batting news,  Luke Diamond was  incredible,  going a perfect 5-for-5 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. He has become a key player for Plymouth: the team is 5-2 when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 3-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of  Thomas Daigneault, who  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI and two  runs.
 Plymouth was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .395. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .300 or higher in three consecutive  matchups.
The  win  got Plymouth back to even at 8-8. As for Pembroke, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record  this season.
