MaxPreps.com, the leader in high school sports, is thrilled to announce that it's vaulting back to the future.
The innovative national website has planted the seed for all of the nation's 24,000-plus high schools to record team history and records.
To help get schools and their coaches, statisticians and historians started, MaxPreps has compiled and updated a mountain of data – including single-season team records, single-game team records, coach history, win streaks, year-by-year achievements and notable alumni – from as far back as 2004.
With our easy-to-use software and applications, coaches can also update pre-2004 information from school archives, programs and newspapers to give fans, alumni and current students a feel for their school's rich and treasured history.
"MaxPreps' vision is to tie all of high school sports together, from team to team and from player to player. Now with our team history initiative, we are taking a big first step in creating the links to tie it all together from year to year," said MaxPreps Founder and President Andy Beal.
Readers will want to spend hours reading over the storybook names, historic teams and famed coaches from yesteryear and today. This will be a one-stop shop to compare your school's legendary figures who wore leather helmets or shot at peach baskets to the contemporary high-profile superstars who sport multi-colored receiving gloves or fly around the rim during bright and loud slam-dunk contests.
You can find your team's school history and records by visiting the record book link on the left side of your team page.
