The Northside Christian School Eagles were the 58-41 winner over the Hawthorne Christian Academy Hawks when they last played one another on Friday, but their luck changed this time around. Northside Christian School was dealt a 61-31 defeat at the hands of Hawthorne Christian Academy on Saturday.
Hawthorne Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jonathan Reed out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 27 rebounds. Shane Eisert was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.
Northside Christian School has fallen quite a ways from their 12-4 record last season and are now at 1-2. As for Hawthorne Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside Christian School will take on Emmanuel Christian at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hawthorne Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lighthouse Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
