Last Monday, Edison had to suffer through a rough 68-19 loss at the hands of the Pioneers. Edison was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-11.
Meanwhile, Florida Christian came up short against the Dolphins on Tuesday and fell 48-36. Florida Christian has not had much luck with the Dolphins recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Florida Christian saw an underclassman step up: Leah Perez scored 15 points along with three steals. Perez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Zoe Campos was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Edison and nudges their season record down to 4-7. As for Florida Christian, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-9.
