Auburn Mountainview put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They really took it to Jefferson for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-31 victory on the road. Given Auburn Mountainview's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Jefferson is ranked 304th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Caleb Bowden, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Sebastian Arius was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Kentlake pushed their score all the way to 69 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 81-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of Auburn Riverside.
Auburn Mountainview's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-6. As for Kentlake, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.
