The West Johnston Wildcats won the last time they faced the South Johnston Trojans, and things went their way on Friday too. West Johnston came out on top against South Johnston by a score of 58-47. The win made it back-to-back wins for West Johnston.
West Johnston's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was William Moore, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Malaki Baker, who scored 14 points.
West Johnston's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for South Johnston, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
West Johnston is on the road again on Friday and play against Southern Wayne at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. As for South Johnston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Smithfield-Selma at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
