Lexington is a perfect 3-0 against Lakeview since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Minutemen will venture away from home to face off against the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Lakeview will be up against a hot Lexington squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Minutemen's defense stepped up to hand Scottsbluff a 3-0 shutout on Tuesday. That's two games straight that Lexington have won by exactly three goals.

They hit Scottsbluff with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Edyn Cruz-Lima, Davis Garcia-Corzo, and Jose Leiva.

Meanwhile, Lakeview's game on Saturday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Madison. Considering Lakeview's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

With the win, Lakeview broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6. As for Lexington, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.

Everything went Lexington's way against Lakeview in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, as Lexington made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Minutemen since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
