Softball Recap: Osbourn Starts Season with Win on the Road

Osbourn had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Gar-Field Red Wolves with a sharp 24-7 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Red Wolves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Osbourn got a massive performance out of Tristyn Kershner, who scored five runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Maya Mira, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Osbourn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .867. Their OBP was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .562 that Gar-Field posted.

Gar-Field dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Osbourn will head out to take on Hylton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gar-Field, they will host North Stafford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
