The Rocky River Ravens had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Berry by a score of 82-73 on Friday. The victory was just what Rocky River needed coming off of a 111-67 loss in their prior game.
Rocky River's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shamari Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 10 rebounds. The contest was Johnson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Markiest Houston, who scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists.
Rocky River's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Berry, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rocky River will take on Martinsville at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Berry, they will be playing at home against Cuthbertson at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
