The Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots and the Dade County Wolverines squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots had to settle for second. Mount Pisgah Christian was dealt a 49-7 loss at the hands of Dade County. Mount Pisgah Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-7.
Ian White threw for 155 yards and a touchdown. Johnny Stephens was his top target, picking up 74 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Dade County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landon Williams, who rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Demetrius Walker also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
This is the second loss in a row for Mount Pisgah Christian and nudges their season record down to 4-7. As for Dade County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-5.
Mount Pisgah Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dade County will take on Commerce at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Commerce is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
