Baseball Recap: Skyline Plays to a Tie

Neither the Skyline Falcons nor the Centaurus Warriors could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Jack Knapp spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up ten Ks. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Skyline is 2-0-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-8 otherwise.

Skyline's draw gives them a new season record of 5-8-1. As for Centaurus, they moved theirs to 7-8-1.

Skyline and Centaurus could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. The Falcons will square off against Lewis-Palmer at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (122 vs. 17). Meanwhile, Centaurus (ranked 96th) will meet Broomfield (ranked 12th) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
