The Bovina Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 71-34 victory over McLean. Winning may never get old, but Bovina sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
It was another big night for Miguel Lopez, who scored 25 points along with five steals. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jairo Mares was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Jayvon Salazar and Caleb Steward certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Salazar scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four blocks, while Steward scored five points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Salazar has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Hagler, who scored seven points.
Bovina has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season. As for McLean, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
