Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Emily Bertram, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Morgan Preston was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Even though they lost, Georgetown were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Eastern beat Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington 35-29 on Thursday. The win was just what Eastern needed coming off of a 46-17 loss in their prior contest.
Georgetown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Eastern, they pushed their record up to 3-4 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
