The Elk Grove Thundering Herd won the last time they faced the Liberty Ranch Hawks, and things went their way on Friday too. Elk Grove had just enough and edged Liberty Ranch out 44-42. The win made it back-to-back wins for Elk Grove.
Elk Grove found their leader in underclassman Noah Hargrave, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Liam Acido, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Elk Grove's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Liberty Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
Elk Grove's road trip will continue as they head out to face Antioch at 5:20 p.m. on December 27th. Liberty Ranch will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calaveras at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
