Despite the loss, Trego still got an impressive performance from Reece Smith, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Trego's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Phillipsburg, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
Trego will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Plainville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Phillipsburg, they will be playing at home against Hoisington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hoisington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Phillipsburg in Kansas (Hoisington is ranked 35th, while Phillipsburg is ranked 122nd).
