Carlisle is a perfect 10-0 against Eastern Mennonite since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Carlisle Chiefs will host the Eastern Mennonite Flames at 4:30 p.m.

After dropping their season opener at home, Eastern Mennonite is headed out to face a Chiefs squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Carlisle fell just short of Christian Heritage Academy by a score of 6-5 on Monday.

Casey Thomas was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in hits (zero). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Cole Scarce was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Eastern Mennonite made sure to put some runs up on the board against Roanoke Catholic on Tuesday. Eastern Mennonite was the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Roanoke Catholic.

Like Carlisle, Eastern Mennonite also got a great game from a two-way player: Luke Stoltzfus. He struck out ten batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). Stoltzfus was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jake Stevenson, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Isaac Ott was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Everything went Carlisle's way against Eastern Mennonite when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Carlisle made off with a 16-4 win. Does Carlisle have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eastern Mennonite turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
