The Summit Academy Knights will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the River Valley Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Summit Academy beat Propel Braddock Hills 54-42.
Meanwhile, River Valley got the win against Purchase Line on Thursday by a conclusive 63-37. That looming 63-37 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for River Valley yet this season.
Dom Speal continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 12 points along with seven assists and three steals. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for him. Jayden Whitfield was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Summit Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for River Valley, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Summit Academy barely slipped by River Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 53-52. Will Summit Academy repeat their success, or does River Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
