The Somonauk Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 20 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Parkview Christian Academy on Monday as Somonauk made off with a 66-41 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Somonauk.
Despite the loss, Parkview Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: James Jefferson scored nine points along with 13 rebounds. Jefferson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's played.
Somonauk is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Parkview Christian Academy, they bumped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Somonauk won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Reed-Custer at 6:45 p.m. on December 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Reed-Custer is ranked 459th, while Somonauk is ranked 444th). Parkview Christian Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Newark at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Newark focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Tuesday.
