The Kaufer Seahawks lost against the Freer Buckaroos back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The match between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Kaufer falling 53-37.
It was another big night for Jayda Washington, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds for Freer. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Bulter, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Kaufer bumped their record down to 11-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.3 points per game. As for Freer, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
Kaufer will be playing in front of their home fans against Agua Dulce at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Agua Dulce will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Freer, they will head out on the road to face off against Santa Maria at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Maria is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
