De La Salle extended their losing streak  (dating back to last season) to 11  on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They had to suffer through  a    46-13 loss at the hands of the Leo Lions. The Meteors were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
As for Leo, they moved to 3-3 with that  victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous   matchup.
 Leo found their leader in sophomore  Daquan Brumfield, who picked up  a  sack and made seven total tackles (5.0 for loss).
 De La Salle and Leo could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage  in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Meteors (ranked 428th) will meet Nazareth Academy (ranked third)  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile,  Leo will  face off against  St. Rita  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday with a big rank  disadvantage  (304 vs. 29).
