Southeast has been on the road for five straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Sarasota Sailors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 549th, while Sarasota is ranked 48th).
Last Friday, Southeast was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to Braden River.
Southeast's loss came about despite a quality game from Azharia Jones, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Sarasota can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They blew past Palmetto 59-25 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Sarasota has posted since December 8, 2023.
Southeast's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Sarasota, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Southeast was dealt a bruising 76-17 loss at the hands of Sarasota when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Southeast was down 46-8.
