On Friday, Tempe Prep are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against North Pointe Prep at Location: Sunnyslope HS at 7:00 PM. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
Tempe Prep were fully in charge last Friday, breezing past Valley Lutheran 48-0. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.
Meanwhile, North Pointe Prep took care of business in their home opener. They steamrollered Heritage Academy 70-0. North Pointe Prep was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the rankings had forecast.
Their wins bumped Tempe Prep to 1-1 and North Pointe Prep to 1-0. Tempe Prep's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a North Pointe Prep defensive front that amassed 4 sacks against Heritage Academy last week, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
