Baseball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Tulia

Tulia took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Dalhart, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hornets had just enough and edged out the Wolves 6-5. The victory was familiar territory for the Hornets, who have now won five games in a row.

Tavo Trevino and Roberto Martinez made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Trevino pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Martinez didn't allow a single earned run over 5.2 innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. At the plate, Trevino went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Martinez went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zach Trevino, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025.

Tulia's record now sits at 9-5. As for Dalhart, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Coincidentally, Tulia and Dalhart will both be playing Bushland the next time they take the field. The Wolves will host the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Hornets will head out to face them at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
