The Crescent Loggers waltzed into their matchup Monday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They walked away with a 54-46 victory over Quilcene. Given Crescent's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Quilcene is ranked 341st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Lukas Love, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. The match was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Bourm, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Crescent pushed their record up to 8-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Quilcene, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crescent's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Shoreline Christian at 5:30 p.m. on December 20th. Shoreline Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Crescent likes a good challenge. Quilcene will be home for the holidays to greet Mary M. Knight at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
