St. James and Carolina Forest are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Sharks will welcome the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (St. James 3.6, Carolina Forest 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
St. James is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Myrtle Beach just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Seahawks by a score of 3-1. The matchup marked the Sharks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Landon Klein was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out nine batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.
Meanwhile, Carolina Forest came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Braves as they made off with a 23-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Bryce Enterlin and Gavin Speedling dominated on the mound. Enterlin pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits, while Speedling tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. What's more, Enterlin posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025.
On the hitting side, Roman DeFalco was a standout: he fired off two home runs and seven RBI while going 3-for-5. Those home runs marked the first that he has launched this season. Parker Reavis was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
Carolina Forest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Socastee only posted an OBP of .300.
Carolina Forest's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for St. James, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-3.
St. James suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Carolina Forest in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Will the Sharks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
