Baseball Recap: Leilehua's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Leilehua waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Campbell Sabers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Mighty Mules might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Zayden Winter tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Keola Hanoa was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Ryden Sasaki also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Leilehua hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in eight consecutive contests.

Leilehua's record is now 6-3. As for Campbell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Coincidentally, Leilehua and Campbell will both be playing 'Aiea the next time they take the field. The Sabers will host the Na Alii at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Mighty Mules will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
