Windber came out on top against North Star on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Ramblers never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Ramblers have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Logan Serenko made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Serenko was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Ike Serenko was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Cole Mash was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Richland's record now sits at 13-4. As for Windber, their record is now 12-5.
Saturday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Richland hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .321. However, it's not like Windber struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
