The Ouray Trojans had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 55-47 victory over Dolores on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Ouray also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Cavan Pasek was a one-man wrecking crew for Ouray as he almost dropped a triple-double on 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 9 blocks. Another player making a difference was Caleb Crandall, who scored 2 points along with 12 rebounds and 8 blocks.
Dolores' lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ty Gaddis, who scored 6 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds. Trayton Traweek was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 9 rebounds.
Ouray's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Dolores, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Ouray will be playing at home against Ridgway at 4:30 p.m. on December 6th. As for Dolores, they will take on Soroco at 4:20 p.m. on Thursday.
