Mid-Suburban - East recap November 5, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Mid-Suburban - East this week, Rolling Meadows beat Grayslake North 49-20. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Mustangs.
Rolling Meadows made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,906 from 2,507. The improvement was largely due to a 49-20 victory over the Knights last week.
Elk Grove's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Adam O'Malley threw for 134 yards and John Pass had 73 yards receiving. On the ground O'Malley contributed 33 yards. Mike Bishoff helped Elk Grove's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 45 yards.
O'Malley put up the best numbers through the air as the Grenadiers lost to Lake Zurich. O'Malley's favorite target this week was Pass, who caught 3 passes for 73 yards.
Elk Grove's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Grenadiers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. O'Malley has thrown for 2,355 yards and 19 touchdowns this season, while Pass has 42 catches for 912 yards. O'Malley also leads the league in rushing with 557 yards.
So far this year, he has acheived 42 catches for 912 yards.
Matt Mishler's team led the league in scoring this week by notching 49 points on Grayslake North.
