IMG Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Oxford Yellow Jackets.
IMG Academy got a great performance from Chase Bentley as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Bentley has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Nick Barron and Dean Moss did most of the damage at the plate: Barron scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Moss went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Barron also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Nathan Eisfelder, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
IMG Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Oxford, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.
