The Hazel Green Trojans lost against the Buckhorn Bucks back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hazel Green took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bucks. Hazel Green has struggled against the Bucks recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Hazel Green still got an impressive performance from Jalen Bright, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tj Pruitt, who scored 12 points.
Hazel Green dropped their record down to 14-12 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Buckhorn, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.
Hazel Green will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Westminster Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Trojans are ranked 35th). As for Buckhorn, they will head out on the road to square off against the Aggies at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
