The Oswayo Valley Green Wave's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their ninth straight loss. They took a 42-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sheffield. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Oswayo Valley in their matchups with Sheffield: they've now lost three in a row.
Several Green Wave players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Connor Resig, who scored 11 points.
Oswayo Valley's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.6 points per game. As for Sheffield, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Oswayo Valley will be playing at home against Galeton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Galeton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Friday. As for Sheffield, they will head out on the road to face off against DuBois Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
