Basketball Recap: Jay Radford's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mcdowell over East Rutherford + How To Watch

McDowell was the 64-45 winner over East Rutherford when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Titans took a 64-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cavaliers on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Titans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jay Radford, who posted 12 points. Radford continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Rae Garner, who had 11 points.

East Rutherford can attribute much of their success to Andre Staley, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 21 points. Those 21 points gave Staley a new career-high. Blake Suttle also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for McDowell and nudges their season record down to 5-2. As for East Rutherford, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, McDowell will take on Erwin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Rutherford, they will be playing at home against Hibriten at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Cavaliers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
