Baseball Recap: Proctor Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Proctor proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 18) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Jamesville-DeWitt Red Rams 5-4. This was payback for the Raiders, who suffered an 8-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

JOSH MARTINEZ was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. RADHAMES EMANIEL was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Proctor is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Jamesville-DeWitt, the defeat snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 9-2 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Proctor will venture away from home to take on New Hartford at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Jamesville-DeWitt, they will head out to square off against Henninger at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
