Basketball Recap: North Lincoln Piles Up the Points Against North Iredell

North Lincoln won the last time they faced North Iredell and things went their way on Friday too. The North Lincoln Knights took their game with ease, bagging a 75-42 win over the North Iredell Raiders. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 22 points or more this season.

Leading North Lincoln to victory were Kellen Karr and Ben Heavner. Karr dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Heavner went 9 of 13 on his way to 20 points. Karr has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more boards the last 20 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ty Sanders, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

North Lincoln has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.6 points per game. As for North Iredell, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-13.

North Lincoln will be playing at home against St. Stephens at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Lincoln is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games. As for North Iredell, they will take on Hickory at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hickory knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully North Iredell likes a good challenge.
